Just treking!
Me and K.D.!! I'm his biggest fan!!!!
This picture is hilarious to me, I can'y explain why, you just had to be there! Its Mt. Drewie, Buffy, Me(Phillpie!), Son of a Mitch, Door Matt, Sparky and Freckles.(all our nicknames) :)
Excuse my mothers glare of death, she was a little ticked off because her pillow got soaking wet....
I made a pioneer thong out of rope! hahaha
Square dancing with Logan ;)
Sorry I look friggen GROSS in all those pictures, but anyways my momma and I got to go on our Stake Youth Confrence Pioneer Trek. I don't think I would have survived if my mom wasn't able to go! My Ma and Pa was The Shaw family. They are adorable! :) I met so many new friends up there! I had a blast at some parts and other parts I ready to freakin DIE :/ I really am glad I am not a pioneer and I was born in the 21st century. Everything was really great, especially the food!!!! (Oh, and except my allgeries!)
I am thankful for the simplest things now, for example:
Medication
Indoor Plumbing
Soap
Deodorant
Cars
Jeans
Carmex
Tents
Air Conditioning
Oh, I also have one thing to say:
I really felt bad for the outside world driving past the church Thursday morning and Saturday afternoon because no wonder everyone confuses the LDS religion with Polygamists.
I mean, picture it: Thursday morning you are going to work and drive by a church and see that there are about 80 kids at a church with about 25 adults and we are wearing sneakers, long skirts, with bonnets and french braids and the men are wearing cowboy hats. We are getting on these giant buses going to the middle of no-where.......So I can understand why people get us confused now...but I'm not dissing on anyone or anything, I'm just making a point!!!
Anyways, I got a series of nicknames, the video below should cover a couple of them (My favorite nickname is the one Malcolm Burtenshaw gave me: "UGGGHHHKKKAAAA"
I am too lazy to write what happened so here is my mothers point of view from Trek:
Ericka is very social. Trek was fun, hard, and spiritual. I am so glad I got to go with my crazy daughter. Ericka insisted talking to Heitor Rosa, the cousin visiting the Santos' from Brazil and doesn't speak one word of English. So Ericka used her few spainish vocabulary words to communicate with him. She asked him to say phrases like, "How do you say "Go Utah Jazz!" in Portuguese!?!?" and even taught him how to say "Rock On!" in English and showed him how to do the hand guesture and she even told him "it is also optional to stick out your tongue..." She is a hoot. I am glad shes all mine! -Debbie.
I am a born certified and natural COWGIRL!!!!!!!!! YEEHAWW!!!!!
