A babysitter anywhere I go!!!!

Ok...so last night when I was at the pool, my cousin, Justin and his wife, Kirstin called me and asked if I would babysit their daughter(my cousin), Lexi in the temple waiting room while they went to Kirstins sisters wedding. I thought it sounded fun and gave me something to do, and I must admit it, I LOVE weddings!!!!!

But at noon they came and picked me up.
After that we get to temple sqaure as we're hurrying to get there while dodging all the tourists and hobos.
Then I go to the waiting room and there is about 5 kids counting Lexi, so not bad right!?!, then I dont know what happened but a sudden rush of like 8 kids just all of a sudden came in, not to mention they were all under the age of 8!!!
I was fricken out and overwhelmed!!!! Then Kirstins 20 year old sister, Megan came in and helped me control the choas.
Once the wedding ceremony in the temple was over, we has a fatal crisis: The tuxedos and the dresses for the little girls were missing!
So we waited for about a half hour and it turns out they were in someones car. Finally everyone was dressed and ready to take pictures outside.
So we were all waiting for the bride and groom to come. Finally they had come!!!!
Once they were out of the temple the tears, the clicks of cameras and the bright camera flashes had begun.
After that, they lined everyone up on the temple stairs to take a big group picture, of course I am not part of that side of the family what-so-ever, so im on the sideline behind the photographers, outside in the 100 degree weather and there I was, sweating in the hot humid heat, and then like 5 people asked me to take pictures with their camera(s). So I had 5 cameras dangling from my wrists, shooting photos for them.
Then we decided to go into the garden to take MORE PICTURES by the POND with the LITTLE KIDS. (Its a recipe for disaster!)
It was 1 o'clock and all 18 of the grandkids were tired and gettin fussy and definitley wanted to play in that pond of cold water because of the heat!!
I glance over at the pretty bride smiling for her all 25 of the cameras swamping her for about a half of a second then the next thing I know, Lexi is IN the pond with her beautiful new dress!!! (and it was WHITE!)
We run to the bathroom leaving a dripping wet trail behind us.
Then once I got her dried off, about 8 of the kids decide they have to go bathroom.
So back to the bathroom!!!!! After I had washed 18 pairs of hands, it was finally it was about 4 and we were going to have a dinner at the Joesph Smith Memorial Building.
So I take Lexi with me there and we get in the elevator and then it occured to me that I didn't know what floor the dinner was on!!! Stupid me.
So I was frantically pushing buttons while controlling the crying Lexi.
Finally, I see one of the sister in laws on a random floor, she told me and it was floor 13. (My first button I pushed.)
I get up there and of course just to make my life worse, there was a fountain by the dining room for the dinner.
So all the kids are splashing in it and taking the coins out of it and then next thing I know Lexi puts her head in the water and her hair with her pink bow is soaking wet!!
So off to the bathroom again we dashed!!!
After I got her dried off for the 2nd time, we walk out of the bathroom and Lexi sneezes and a big ol nasty ribbon of boogers goes all over her dress and face.
Back to the bathroom!!!!!!
FINALLY it was time for dinner. I was starving and so I didn't really know anyone but Justin, Kirstin & Lexi, so I sit at a table in the corner, alone as they were taking (MORE) pictures.
Then it was time to eat and Justin and Kirstin came over by me with some other folks. So they bring out a salad and I scarfed it down within 2 minutes.
Then they brought out a baked potato with vegtables and chicken wraped in bread and spinach or something.(It looked like someone had eaten it before me, if ya know what I mean...I just kinda swirled it around with my fork to make it look like I ate it. Clever eh!!?!?!)
Then they bring out dessert, chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream and on top, a chocolate dipped strawberry!!! Delectable!!! I was stuffed by then.
Then the father of the bride decided all of us to stand up and introduce ourselves and how we are related to the bride or groom.
I thought "Oh noooo!!! I can just picture myself saying "Well, uh....I am Ericka and I am here to watch all the, uh...brats!" but I didn't.
The brother of the bride introduced me, he said the following:
"This is uhm...Ericka. And well, She is uhm...tagging along with uh, Justin and Kirstin to uhm...help us out!"
I felt my face get hot and I couldn't help but smile.
It was time to cut the cake.
My back and feet were killing me by then thanks to me carrying around a bag of children books and toys, oh and cameras.
I chased Lexi around some more because she kept running off.
Later that night, I realize I'm sitting at a 8 person table, alone while everyone is talking and taking (MORE!!!) pictures. I'm barefoot, eating a huge slice of wedding cake. ALONE. ALONE! I seriously busted up in laughter in my mind. Just sitting there laughing at myself.

After I chased Lexi around more and watched her around the fountain.
Nothing seemed to entertain her except that freaking fountain that made her soaking wet!!!
About 2 hours later everything was finally cleaned up and we were ready to go!
We were walking through temple square to get to the truck and while we are passing the reflection pond, well, of course I look over and Lexi is on the brink of getting into the pond, her legs are in, but for the third time, I squeeze the water out of her dress.
Then we dodged more hobos asking for money and finally got to the truck.
I stripped Lexi's (wet) dress off and put her in her car seat and about 5 minutes into the joyfull car ride, She was sawin logs!!!! I was so happy! I could finally RELAX!
We got to my house and I told them "Thank you for bringing me and that I babysit cousins for free." And then Kirstin hands me a check for $50.00!!! I smiled and accepted it as they praised me with thank yous.

I came in the house and layed down for the first time today.
I have come to realize that babysitting is GREAT birth control, it makes me never want to have children. Ever! Oh and I officially realized that my life really should be a reality show. It would be a HIT.
